Day1

Arrival at Phuentsholing – Transfer to Thimphu

Arrive at Phuentsholing, the Bhutan–India border town.

Complete immigration formalities and necessary permits.

Meet our tour representative and begin the scenic drive towards Thimphu.

Enjoy beautiful Himalayan landscapes, waterfalls and mountain views along the way.

Check in to the hotel upon arrival.

Evening free for leisure and exploring the local market.

Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day2

Thimphu Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day Thimphu sightseeing tour.
Visit the magnificent Buddha Dordenma Statue.
Explore the National Memorial Chorten.
Visit Tashichho Dzong, an iconic Bhutanese fortress.
Explore the Motithang Takin Preserve.
Enjoy traditional Bhutanese culture, handicrafts and local shopping.
Return to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day3

Thimphu – Phuentsholing – Departure

Early morning breakfast at the hotel.
Check out and drive back towards Phuentsholing.
Enjoy the scenic mountain journey.
Complete exit immigration formalities at the Bhutan border.
Continue your onward journey with beautiful memories of Bhutan.

Can this itinerary be customised?

Yes. Every tour is private and tailor-made. We can change the number of days, hotel category, pace and activities, or start from Siliguri, NJP, Bagdogra or Paro.

What documents do I need?

Indian nationals need a valid passport or original Voter ID (birth certificate for children). International guests need a passport valid for 6+ months and a visa approval, which we arrange. See all travel requirements.

Is the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) included?

Your quotation clearly shows whether the SDF is included. It is currently ₹1,200 per night for Indian nationals and USD 100 per night for international visitors. Read about the SDF.
